Life
Did the usual, robbed a few 7-11's, shot a few people, part-time pimping, and spent some time in jail. I made 14 babies with 14 different baby mamas--I even know some of da names. They kinda look like me too. Now I are workin' on my G.E.D. (in jail) and pharmaceutical sales (selling crack) for bail money. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you! I want my kids (da ones dat really mines) to grow up to be just like me.
Seriously though, I Moved to Wash. DC area (Oxon Hill, Maryland--15 feet from the DC line) immediately after graduation from South & Choffin-had job awaiting. Been here since. No significant other, no children--still doin' it for fun. I tried stand-up comedy for a while, then I sat down cuz' my feet hurt. Traveled some for comedy & even opened for some reasonably famous people: Salt n' Pepa; Renaldo Ray (from tv's 227 fame); Tommy Davidson and Millie Jackson. I moved to singing after a stint as Donnie Simpson's morning co-host for local radio station (WPGC). Now I'm lead singer with my own band. My stage name is Monroe LippFord, my band is The ML Band. To give you a hint of how successful my band is, I still hold down the same job (administrative/clerical) here in DC. You've heard the phrase, "don't quit your day job"? Well, I didn't. I ain't no WHOLE fool! A niggah gotz ta' eat.
